In Absentia – September/October 2023
Why are we haunted by certain things we hear or read? I’m thinking of stories that are so spooky or unusual they hang around in your mind for a long time. Perhaps we dread such things happening to us, which points to how we as humanity are linked, in that we are very alike in certain ways. One of those ways is losing someone, and losing someone without closure or any clue as to what happened, how they disappeared. I’m talking about someone we care about who is never heard of again, who walks into oblivion and drops all connection with everyone.
